Blackdown Tableland National Park

When you drive around Central Queensland, in the distance, the road often looks like it’s covered in water – an oasis, so to speak. But smack bang in the middle of Emerald and Rockhampton is an actual oasis: Blackdown Tableland National Park. Here, mountainous terrain gives way to dramatic gorges, stunning waterfalls and some epic rock art courtesy of the Ghungalu people, who have been visiting this place for thousands of years.
