If you find yourself in Koh Samui and need to escape the craziness of Chewang beach for a few nights, jump on a motorbike or taxi and spend 30 minutes zipping over to the other side of the island to Lipa Noi beach. The more relaxed counterpart to Chewang’s all night raves, Lipa Noi is the place to come and rest your weary hobo souls after too much partying.
With soul-resting comes much sleeping, and what better place to do that than in a beachfront bungalow made out of a converted shipping container? Each bungalow is made ecologically using recycled materials and comes with your own postcard view out the window. With a private bathroom, air-con and the world’s comfiest bed, you’ll feel all your troubles drifting away as the ocean laps at your feet right outside the door.
While it may be a little exxy for the standard hobo, the bed is big enough for two and the room cost when split is well worth it for picturesque location and the ability to roll from your bed to the ocean with minimal effort. Serving delicious food and reasonably cheap booze in the attached restaurant means you won’t have to exhaust yourself any further then necessary to find libations and a full stomach.
