Madrid: Madriz-Madrid Rock and Roll Bar
Get There: Calle Meléndez Valdés, 52 Madrid, 28015 Chamberí. Bajos de Argüelles is situated in a uni town just a walk away from the Moncola metro station.
Cost: Free entry and pretty cheap drink deals (3€ beers)
Bajos de Argüelles may look like a cheap shopping complex, but come night, one finds pumping, hidden bars on the bottom floor. Madriz, Madriz is one of the bars, a grungy, local club that blasts rock and roll classics all night long (and most of the morning). It’s decorated with funky décor and has old London underground music scene posters covering the walls. At midnight, the place is full of punky uni students with long hair and skinny black jeans breaking it down on the D-floor.
