New York: Donation Museums and Galleries
The MET: 1000 5th Ave (The middle of Central Park – east side)
Natural History Museum: Central Park W and 79th St.
The Metropolitan Museum and Museum of Natural History are incredible places to wander through and get lost in your own little world of artifacts and ancient times. However, being a stingy hobo, it’s hard to cough up a crisp $20 bill for entry. Fun fact – both these museums have “pay by donation” written in fine print under the big, fat, lying ticket price, cheekily informing everyone that you can pay by donation to rip off every illiterate traveller who walks through the old pillars. I proudly offered my generous $2 and spent the afternoon indulged in dino skeletons and ancient Egyptian tomb replicas.
