Gastown is the oldest part of the city, and was where the factories were and workers lived back in the days of old. It has now turned into an upmarket, classy district, but hobos can still have their fun. Wander past old, well-kept industrial buildings turned into swanky apartments and offices, fairy-lit trees lining paved streets, traditional street lamps and fountains. Dine in quality little bay-window restaurants and cafes or have drinks at a modern bar with funky tunes. Come night, saxophone players charm the streets with notes that linger through the alleyways.
