Toronto: CN Tower
Address: 301 Front St W, Toronto, ON M5V 2T6, Canada
The CN Tower is to Toronto as the Eiffel Tower is to Paris. The iconic landmark has been declared one of the Modern Seven Wonders of the World and up until 2010 it was the world’s tallest tower. However, it now only boasts the title of the worlds tallest free-standing structure blah blah blah. Whatever. Standing at over 500m, it’s pretty bloody tall and from the top, offers an impressive view of Toronto. The glass floor is particularly impressive. However, ticket prices are about as high as the tower itself, with general admission costing $32. (Plan ahead of time, buy online and save up to 15%. Do it. That’s an extra bottle of Passion Pop!) If you’re going to fork out the money I suggest going up before sunset, in time to catch a glimpse of this vibrant city in both the day and night. If you’ve got any money left, there’s also a 360 degree revolving restaurant at the top for anyone who’s enticed by the idea of simultaneously spinning around and eating. As for the quality of the food, I have no idea. I chose to spend my $21 on alcohol rather than a foraged wild-mushroom tart. Priorities.
